Out of our entire Exhibition, I am most proud of the plays we did. I thought we didn’t need to practice a lot but the more times we rehearsed the better our play got. When we rehearsed our play it felt short, but at Exhibition it was just right. Nobody forgot their lines in our group and everything went better than planned. I think if we had more time I would change our story. Our story was good but it could have been smoother and stronger. Our main idea was about judging someone based on their age and appearance. This is a topic everyone can relate to, but we could have made the play personal by doing a strong topic that people would remember. I contributed to our group by helping with line memorization. I also helped with the first script but we didn’t end up using that story. Another way I contributed to our team was by filling in when groups didn’t have one of their characters. This helped other groups and my own because we got to give each other critique. I would like to keep in mind that you need to practice several times before performing a play or presenting a speech. Practicing with props makes a difference because then you have to remember the movements you make with whatever you are holding. A habit of heart I used while preparing for this year’s exhibition is the Cooperation habit. I used this habit when we had to write and perform the play. You need to support individuals and work together in order to create something you could be proud of. A moment where we used this habit was when we were brainstorming ideas for our play. We all had to pitch in ideas and support each other.
